Proving Keynes right is not necessary to prove austerity wrong. [contrarian]
Note that for the purposes at hand I am not trying to show that the Keynesians or anyone else was “correct” and that reflationary policies saved the day. All I need to do here is to show that austerity did not, as the British say, do what it says it does on the tin. Proving Keynes right is not necessary to prove austerity wrong.
