The combined sound of the powerful falls pounding the river just feet from me and the gentle lapping of the created waves against the broken stone gave an amazing bipolar sound field. It almost sounded like a combination of coarse sandpaper being piped through a megaphone over the sound of an almost empty plastic soda bottle being shaken quietly in the background.
