Unrelieved stress produces shallow breathing and oxygen deprivation. [causal]

Breathing deeply helps circulation and oxygenation of the brain. Unrelieved stress produces shallow breathing and oxygen deprivation. In a positive light we need to stress ourselves to overcome inertia and generate power for living. However, we also need to manage stress for our well being when limits are exceeded. Returning attention to breathing at stressful moments can be empowering.
