Naomi Wolf's emergency-power claims stripped evidence from Klein's thesis. [connection]

The logical leaps were bad enough. What made it worse for me was that, with Wolf's new focus on abuses of corporate and political power during states of emergency, something she touched on only briefly in The End of America, I felt like I was reading a parody of The Shock Doctrine, one with all facts and evidence carefully removed, and coming to cartoonishly broad conclusions I would never support.

XREF: References both Naomi Wolf's The End of America and Naomi Klein's The Shock Doctrine, drawing a pointed contrast between evidence-based analysis and Wolf's broad, fact-free conclusions. QUESTION: When do activist arguments cross from persuasive simplification into factually hollow caricature? The author's reaction marks a boundary worth interrogating.
