This kind of "hijab ban-demonium" (which I define as a panicky sort of reaction that bans Muslim women from wearing hijabs, niqabs, burqas, and/or burkinis without any regard for religious freedom issues) is a phenomenon which continues to creep across many Europe and Western societies today. Politicians from all over the spectrum are using Muslims as political footballs to further their xenophobic ideological platforms.
