Muslim Americans' experiences contradict claims of a postracial America [contrarian]
At the time that I conducted the interviews for this book, numerous pundits put forth the idea that the United States had finally realized a “postracial” era with the election of Barack Obama. But the experiences of Muslim American men and women directly challenge the notion that a colorblind society has been attained. Instead, America's social and political climate continues to shift, along with its boundaries.
