Bilal recalled that shortly after 9/11, he was "randomly" stopped and searched in customs upon returning to the United States from Canada because of his Muslim identity. Bilal was on the Selectee List, but this encounter was the result of a TSA agent profiling him upon reentry into the United States after he had already been through airport security in Canada because of his ethnic identity and then his religious one.
