The Stop Islamization of America campaign organized by Pamela Geller and Robert Spencer rallied around preventing the building of the Park 51 Islamic center near the World Trade Center site. They have been classified as a hate group that perpetuates Islamophobia in the United States by the Southern Poverty Law Center.
