Coexistence in Islamic Spain produced positive Christian portrayals of Islam. [causal]

While the dominant narrative about Muslims is filled with these monsters, not all medieval writings about Islam are negative. Some of the most positive examples are found in Islamic Spain, penned by Mozarebs. In the Chronicle of 741, Muhammad is described as "a prescient man, a foreseer of future events," whom Muslims treat "with great honor and reverence as they affirm him to be an apostle of God and a prophet in all of their sacraments and scriptures." The daily contact between Jews, Christians, and Muslims living in Andalusia, coupled with a lack of inter-religious warfare, helps to explain why these writings emerge.

XREF: Connects to the broader theme of convivencia in medieval Iberia — daily interfaith contact reducing hostility. QUESTION: Does this positive portrayal in the Chronicle of 741 reflect Mozarab perspective or political pragmatism under Muslim rule?
