Despite his close acquaintance with Neurath, with whom he organized in 1935 the First International Congress of Scientific Philosophy in Paris, Rougier’s philosophy and politics were closer to the “right wing” of the Vienna Circle (Moritz Schlick, Friedrich Waismann, Felix Kaufmann) than to the left one.
