Parental norm enforcement requires intergenerational network closure beyond family relations. [definitional]

In the case of norms imposed by parents on children, closure of the structure requires a slightly more complex structure, which I will call intergenerational closure. Intergenerational closure may be described by a simple diagram that represents relations between parent and child and relations outside the family.

DEFINE: Introduces the concept of intergenerational closure, a structural mechanism for transmitting norms from parent to child through external family relations. Builds on: "Effective social norms require relational closure among group members"
