Radio can be ignored or turned off. [fact]

Radio can be ignored or turned off; one might even choose to listen to foreign stations. The Propaganda Ministry's answer to such problems was to outfit a small army called the Funkwarte, the Radio Guard, party loyalists assigned to every neighborhood or apartment block to make sure that the radio was being listened to.
