In the United States, 53 percent of Americans hold views of Islam described either as “not favorable at all” or “not too favorable.” In the Netherlands, 63 percent of Dutch citizens believe Islam is incompatible with modern European life. In France, 74 percent believe Islam is at odds with French society. Just fewer than one in four people in Britain believe Islam is compatible with the British way of life.
