In this portrait of Duke Federico of Urbino. [fact]
In this portrait of Duke Federico of Urbino and his son Guidobaldo (c.1475), the duke has his attention fixed on one of the valuable manuscripts from his collection, while decked out in martial finery. Having spent a fortune on his library, the collection would be a sad ruin a century after his death.
