Within thirty years, the Colonial Library. [fact]
In 1886, Macmillan launched their Colonial Library, a series of titles that were only allowed to be sold in the British market overseas. Within thirty years, the Colonial Library, dressed in a recognisable livery of uniform bindings, comprised 680 titles, of which 632 were fiction.
