Ardern honored the victims with words, and more importantly, with actions, some showcased onscreen and others not captured by the camera. It was not widely known in the aftermath of the terror attacks that Ardern authorized payment for all fifty-one funerals, regardless of the victims' citizenship status, and spearheaded a new policy that restricted the sale of the military semi-automatic weapons that led to those funerals.
