Islamophobia persists globally because the War on Terror tied Islam to terror. [causal]

Islamophobia varies across national and cultural lines but retains regardless of location the fundamental trait crafted by the architects of the War on Terror: the conviction that the threat of terror is inextricably linked to Islam, and Muslims anywhere and everywhere carry its threat wherever they roam. Both old and new crusades have reduced the Islamic essence to one of violence, unseeing Muslims as real people and unmaking them into standing myths of terrorists.

DEFINE: Defines Islamophobia as reducible to the conviction that Muslims universally carry a terror threat, shaped by War on Terror architects.
