Orientalist discourse underpins the exported War on Terror [causal]
Everything was the same. Everything except the labels, the laws, and the casing that concealed the same lies. Said’s master discourse, Orientalism, laid the intellectual foundation for understanding the hate that Washington crafted into the War on Terror, which it then globalized and exported. It was shipped off like a new line of Chevy trucks—manufactured at first by American hands on Detroit assembly lines, but then handed off to others to manufacture more inexpensively for the benefit of the brain trust at home.
