Post-9/11 campaigns against Muslims are political, not religious wars. [causal]

The new set of crusades that target Muslim populations across the world, facilitated and fueled by the American campaign that came into being after the 9/11 terror attacks, are not pointedly religious battles between occidental Christendom and oriental Islam, but political and cultural wars. They are waged against Muslims in nations where Islam has been cast as unassimilable with that nation’s societal values, oriented as inimical to political quests for racial purity, or profiled as threatening to national security.
