Friedman's article appeared in Farmand, a publication edited by the MPS member Trygve Hoff (1895–1982), who attended the premier meeting in 1947. Incidentally, Hoff published an anniversary edition of Farmand in 1966, which contained articles by numerous MPS members—including Friedman, Stigler, Machlup, Hayek, Leonard Read, and John Jewkes.
