It was inspired by Social Catholicism and by the ideal of a professional organization. [fact]
The neoliberalism of the Centre des Jeunes Patrons (CJP) was built on quite different foundations. It was inspired by Social Catholicism and by the ideal of a professional organization. The CJP advocated a "concrete liberalism," while at the same time praising free enterprise, "fair" competition, and scientific management. Unlike trade employers, CJP members accepted nationalizations, if they related to real monopolies, and unlike the liberal Catholics, they supported the cooperation of workers and management via mixed committees.
