Darwin's theory explains adaptation origins more than speciation [contrarian]
Much the most coherent explanation for the evolution of such phenomena is still Darwin's. Indeed, Darwin's proposal is much better seen as a theory about the origin of adaptations than as a theory about the origin of species.
DEFINE: Recasts the standard understanding of Darwinian theory, distinguishing the origin of adaptations from the origin of species as the theory's primary explanatory target.
