The risk of making such an opening is not really great. [contrarian]

The risk of making such an opening is not really great. At most the other may simply ignore one, or tell one to “buzz off.” But these are unpleasant and embarrassing experiences and presumably ones the individual would wish to avoid. (Note that those individuals who wish to engage in unconventional gaming must make the same initial decision. After the opening, however, these persons are involved in more complex interaction calling for much greater skill than is he who only wants to engage in some conventional talk.)
