Some who have spent time in less extreme chambers than Orfield’s have reported feelings of panic, disorientation, dizziness, and nausea; the last two being further indication of the tight connection between balance and hearing. Others who have gone in alone and in darkness to experience the chamber as a form of sensory deprivation environment have demanded to be let out after only a short time inside.
